Lake Erie Candle Company began as a small family business, and quickly caught the eye of Whole Foods Market. With their growing audience, they needed to fine-tune their design and differentiate between their numerous scents, while staying true to their core audience. Inspired by the decorative oars popular in the Great Lakes region, and the flat horizon of Lake Erie, I created a packaging system that paid homage to their early success, yet brought in color and sophistication. They’ve since popped up in Whole Foods Markets all over the midwest and East Coast.
